History:

Portrait is an upper torso view of a caucasian man wearing a dark jacket, white shirt and black collar. His upper right arm is resting on a flat surface and his right hand is holding a rolled paper and resting in his lap.
Notes: John Bell was born near Nashville, TN, He was a member of Congress 1827 - 1841. He was Speaker of the House and Secretary of War in 1841. He was nominated for President to run against Abraham Lincoln in 1860 by the Constitutional Union Party, but only gained the electorial votes of TN, KY and VA.
