History:

This portrait is a replica of the original which was bought from descendents in 1978. However, this is the portrait that was exhibited at the Centennial as it was then owned by the TN Historical Society, and the original was still then in private hands.
Notes: Charlotte Reeves Robertson (1751-1843) was the wife of James Robertson. She was a member of the first large group of settlers to arrive in Middle TN. She traveled on the Donelson flotilla while her husband led men overland with the animals to the site that is now Nashville. Her son, Felix Robertson is the first recorded white child born in the area.
