History:

The portrait dates to the 19th century and is considered to be in good condition. It is a bust portrait painting of a man dressed in a dark green double breasted coat. He is wearing a white shirt fashioned with a jabot and a hight collar. He is also wearing a white tie arranged in a bow. The portrait is mounted in a glassed enclosed in an oval frame.
Notes: This portrait came from the Dismukes collection, descendents of John Donelson and Emily Donelson Walton who lived at Glen Echo, north of Nashville.
