History:	This is a portrait of a young man turned one-quarter to the left. He is wearing a black coat and jabots. There is a paper label on the stretcher identifying Washington Cooper executed this work about 1835.
Notes:	John Linzapher Cooper was born in 1807 and died in 1875.
