History:	The paint appears to be structurally stable. There is overall disfigurement from blanching and from possible fungal growth. The surface is very dull and matte with no apparent applied coating. It is covered with a slight layer of grime. The subject is the upper body of an elderly woman. She is wearing a black dress with a white lace collarette and a black caplet on the back of her head.
