History of Work:Presented to the library in 2003 by the Estate of Anne Elizabeth Battle.
Notes:Born December 25, 1906, Anne Elizabeth Battle was the daughter of Alfred Blackman and Blanche Goodall Battle, the half-sister of Mary Francis Battle Perry, and the great-niece of Mary Frances "Fannie" Battle. She graduated from Vanderbilt University and taught at Hume-Fogg High School and West End High School.
