| Description: | Middle-aged
slightly heavy-set man in business suit in turn of 19-20th century style.
Framed as an oval, he appears to be seated. Both hands are visible in his lap.
His hair is medium length for the times and silvery gray. His face is broad,
with brown eyes and slightly heightened coloring on his lips. A surface
abrasion is visible near his right eye in the canvas background. |
| History: | Painting
came from Elmwood, now Elm Hill between Berry Lane and Thompson Lane. The
documentation burned in a home fire. |
