Description:Near full-length portrait of a young woman with abundant red hair covering her ears and pulled toward the back in a loose chignon. She is wearing a long white dress with sheer long sleeves and lace decoration at the square neckline of the bodice. She has a corsage on her right hip with long blue ribbon extending from it down her right side. Her right hand holds an elaborate white feather fan, and her left arm is bent with the back of her hand resting on her left hip. She is looking over her left shoulder in full profile and appears to be gazing at the scenery and balustrade revealed behind the blue-grey curtained background.
