Description:Half-length portrait of a man with brown side-parted hair. The man is wearing a white shirt and vest with a black coat and black tie. Plain white background. Encased oval miniature.
History of Work:Artist lived and worked in Memphis in 1839; thereafter worked periodically in Memphis and throughout the South; lived in Memphis in the mid-late 1850s.
Notes:Sitter resided in Memphis at the time of the portrait.
