He is facing three-quarter right, wears a half smile, and is looking directly at the viewer. His suit is dark, and the jacket is open at the front to reveal a white shirt and tones of blue striped four-in-hand. The shirt cuff is visible below the coat sleeve on his left hand, which is only partially in the portrait. |
