| Description: | Waist-length of a young woman in a white dress with a blue waist sash. Her amber/emerald earrings, necklace, and brooche, and drape chain complement her dark auburn hair worn up in curls. Her eyes are dark brown and her complexion creamy with slightly pink cheeks. |
| History of Work: | The original of this work, a companion to #756, was painted by Ralph E. W. Earl on mahogany board in 1828. It survives in Chaleston, SC with the owner of this copy's sister. As a companion piece, it is admitted to this survey even though its creation date exceeds the established criteria. The artist Stark is from Gallatin, TN. |
| Notes: | Subject lived from 1809-1852 and married Stockley Donelson II (see #756). She died at Cleaveland Hall. She was the daughter of Dr. William Pitt Lawrence.
