| Description: | Subject is a young lady facing three-quarter right and looking very slightly to viewer's right. She is wearing a long rose-colored off-the-shoulders dress with lace at bodice. Painted at subject's age 20, she has long blond hair with two long ringlets on her left shoulder and has blue-grey eyes. |

| Notes: | Subject was born 19 October 1847 in Clarksville, TN. On 8 January 1872 she married Dr. Edward Noel Franklin (born 20 October 1846), the great-nephew of Isaac Franklin. The subject died 6 October 1923 at "Lone Pine," the home where Gallatin Nursing Home now stands on North Water Avenue in Gallatin, TN. She is buried in Mr. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville.
