| Notes: | Albert Gallatin for whom Gallatin, Tennessee was named, was Secretary of the U. S. Treasury, a genius in finance, Senator, Representative, Champion of Democracy. Born in 1761, died in 1849. Never came to Gallatin, Tennessee.
