is new black-painted rectangular wood with original gilded copper bezel and
glass. Young woman with auburn hair piled on top of her head. Oval image in a
low-cut puff sleeve white dress. Slightly slouching posture. Mottled blue
background. |
| History: | This
picture is very much in the style of Malbone, who was a great influence on
Dickinson (see miniature on the cover of the Metropolitan Museum of Art of NYC
catalog for the Tokens of Affection show) Dickinson's trade card is inserted
behind the ivory.
