| Description: | Subject is seated with hands folded holding a white cloth in her right hand. Very dark (black?) hair appears under her bonnet. She has blue eyes and a sharp, prominent nose. The white bonnet is smooth on top with gathered folds beside her face and tied under her chin. She wears a white v-necked blouse under buttoned by dress or coat with a cape effect from the shoulder. |
| History of Work: | The portrait is thought to be by Ralph E. W. Earl and was presented to the church in 1907 by her granddaughter, Mrs. Thomas M. Steger. |
| Notes: | Ann Grundy started Nashville's first Sunday School. Her portrait is in the front hall of Cheek House.
