waist-length three-quarter right of balding man in a dark suit, plain starched
white shirt and black necktie. He has dark curls of hair for sideburns. He has
high pink coloring on his nose, chin, and (visible) right cheek. |

documentation in the file. Sitter born 12/5/1792 and died 4/13/67. He was the
son of Gen. Adam Guthrie, portrait #74. Sitter was Sec. of U.S. Treasury in
Pierce administration; a U.S. Senator from Louisville, KY 1865-1869 (death);
President of the L&N Railroad and President of the University of
Louisville.
