| History of Work: | The painting is one of a pair (see Josiah Harris). The portrait was passed down through Josiah Harris' descendants to the present owner; the subject was the owner's great-great paternal grandmother. |
| Notes: | Subject was born 20 November 1819 and died 27 January 1876. She is buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Franklin, KY. Mentioned in History of Kentucky by W. H. Perrin, p. 667.
