Description:White hair combed from subject's right to left. Light-colored eyes and a stern presence. Burgundy (?) Masonic stole with 11 stars and central medallion worn over dark suit and tie and white shirt. Both hands visible.
History of Work: Restored in 2011 sponsored by Hiram Lodge No. 7.

The artist, Washington Bogart Cooper, was commissioned to paint most of the Grand Masters, which explains the approximate date of Claiborne's portrait.
