| Description: | Full-length of a young boy dressed in a blue jacket, white shirt and tan-knee-length pants trimmed in lace who is holding a dog collar, presumably for the spaniel at his right. The background is a cloudy warm-toned sky and the setting is on a balcony with an urn of vines on the left. |
| History: | The subject died at age four, so it is likely this was a posthumous commemorative painting. The owner also mentioned that the family lore also includes the possibility that this was done by an itinerant painter.
