| Description: | Gentleman in a charcoal suit, white shirt and cravat tie. He has a temperance pin on his lapel. He is gazing directly at the viewer. |
| History of Work: | Commissioned by Katherine Engle-of her grandfather. He was a Colonel from Missouri for the Confederacy during the Civil War. The portrait was painted from a picture of Col. Hickman. It originally hung in Mrs. Engle's home until her death and is now in the home of his great-great-granddaughter. |
