Description:Near-full-length of subject standing behind a high-backed maroon leather chair with his folded hands reasting on the back of the chair. He wears a blue suit, with white shirt and pocket handkerchief and a dark blue tie. His silver-grey hair is parted on his left and his head is turned to look at the viewer. There are plaques to his right and above him and an American flag to his left.
History of Work:On display in Cumberland University's Memorial Hall
Notes:An 1891 graduate of the Cumberland University School of Law, Cordell Hull served as the U.S. Secretary of State from 1933-1945. Hull is also known as “the father of the United Nations.”
