Description:Bust length, frontal portrait of a young woman in an extravagant pink dress embellished with pearls and gathered sleeves. She is wearing a corsage of red and pink flowers on her proper right shoulder. Her brown hair is pulled up and she is wearing jeweled earrings and necklace. Portrait set in a circular shape.
History of Work:Signed: UL: Carl Gutherz W.D.C. 1895 Artist lived and worked in Memphis ca. 1860-1875. Painted while the artist lived and worked in Washington D.C. from 1895 to 1907.
