Notes:Subject was born in 1879 and died in 1971. First Sunday School in Chattanooga at First Presbyterian. McCallie taught adult men's class for 36 years with over 200 members on a given Sunday. Instrumental in founding Missions Conference. First Chairman of Bible study committee which initiated adding Bible in the Schools to public school curriculum and presented gift of Bible course to City Commissions who approved using the language of the Bible in courses where Bible is taught as History and Literature to give students a better understanding of God's Word. The courses have been taught continually since 1922. Co-founder, with brother Spenser J. McCallie, of McCallie School for Boys in 1905. Subject was son of the 9th Pastor.
