| History: | Was perhaps painted after subject's marriage in 1834. Work would benefit from cleaning and repair of surface cracks, but image is intact and canvas has no visible tears. |
| Notes: | Subject married James F. May in 1834. Owner also has a portrait of this individual, but it was not available at the time to be photographed. He is willing to include it at a later date.
