| Description: | Oval three-quarters bust-length miniature left of young woman wearing a blue dress. Her brown hair is somewhat loosely swept up and back. The background is light blue. The work is in a locket-type hinged frame, mounted open within a wooden frame with a cream backing. |
| History: | A matching miniature of her husband, Rev. Henry Purcell, is in the Gibbs Museum in Charleston, SC. |
| Notes: | Subject's husband was rector of St. Michael's in Charleston, SC in 1783. The owner is the great-great-great-great-great-granddaughter of the subject. |
