Description:Three-quarter length portrait of Louise Goff. She is seated, wearing a pink sleeveless dress and holding a dog. Her torso is turned toward the right side of the painting but both the woman and the dog look out toward the viewer.
History of Work:Gift to the museum from Louise Goff Reece.
Notes:Louise Goff Reece (1898-1970), wife of longtime East Tennessee Congressman B. Carroll Reece, was herself a member of the U. S. House of Representatives (1961-1963), making three generations of the Goff family to serve in Congress. The B. Carroll Reece Museum was established as a tribute to her husband.
