Description:Half-length portrait of a man angled to his right. The man's brown hair is parted from the side and he has a beard and mustache. The man is wearing a white shirt with a black vest and black coat. Plain dark background.
History of Work: Signed: LR: Carl Gutherz W.D.C. 1900. The artist lived and worked in Memphis ca. 1860-1875. Painted while the artist lived and worked in Washington D.C. from 1896 to 1907.
