| Description: | Full-length portrait of a young girl with upswept brown hair, parted in the middle. She is wearing a pink dress and is perched on a windowseat reading a book that she holds in her left hand. Her right hand is visible on her lap and holds what might be a white lacy handkerchief. There is a potted plant also on the window seat, and the sky outside the window is a bright blue with a few fleecy clouds. The color of the drape behind the subject echoes the color of her three-quarter-sleeved, scoop-necked dress. |
