Description:Near waist lenght of Washington facing three-quarter right and looking at viewer. His hair is grey, and his hairline is receding, much like the Stuart portrait. his dark coat is over a white shirt with a ruffled tie or cravat. His neck is bound by the white collar of the shirt. There is a red drape behind him and the suggestion of an outdoor scene behind his right shoulder.
