| Description: | Frame is plain gold on copper; back completely filled with glass (replaced by Wiebold) with original silvered, patterned copper and tinned foil.

| History: | Painted in Boston. Has the number 57 painted into a tiny oval at lower right--this is original. Paper inside that appears to be contemporary with the miniature has written on it in ink ""John Wittney/Boston/With love to/my wife, Mary."
